18 month check-up

Today was aelita's 18 month check-up. She now weighs 23lbs8oz and is 32 inches tall. with an 18 3/4 inch head. She also got her second hep a shot.

Christmas

Aelita got very spoiled this christmas. She got a new baby dolls and a leap frog music table from her great-grandpa, a vsmile baby and cartridges from grandma cora, A toy cleaning set, toy vacuum, toy cooking stuff, cars, and a bunch of other stuff from grandma judy. I got her a plastic tea set and a doll stroller, high chair, and playpen for her baby dolls.
as you can see she insisted on sitting in her doll stroller rather then push her baby dolls around.

Potty training

Potty training Aelita is proving to be far more difficult then i thought it would be. She will sit on her little potty for about 20 mins and not do anything and as soon as she gets off the potty she decides to go all over the floor. She likes wearing her big girl underwear though. I'm just really hoping that she gets potty trained before Kiana is born, but i don't see Aelita getting potty trained in 2 weeks or less.

Nursery

Today Aelita finally started going to nursery at church. She did really well today. i was just glad to actually be able to stay in sunday school and relief society for once with out having to deal with her running all over the place.

Aelita's first snow

Today was the first time Aelita got to see and play in snow. She really didn't play in it but she liked walking around in all the snow.

Our Big Girl

Aelita has started to show intrest in the potty again. She is also trying to get her self dressed and undressed especially when she has a dirty pull-up on. She loves to color and watch mickey mouse clubhouse. Her favorite thing to do right now though is to ride on her trike. She's getting to be such a big girl. But she'll always be our little princess

Christmas Cards

Today we spent the day taking pictures of aelita in front of the Christmas tree for our christmas cards. They turned out pretty good. Tomorrow we're going to take more of her in her christmas dress. Here's the ones from tonight.

Happy Thanksgiving

Today was a very busy day, at 10am we went down to my grandfathers house to spend some time with him and some of our other family members. After that we went back to the rescue squad to make dinner, As we started to make dinner calls would come in about every 15-20 mins or so it seemed and everyone would take off to respond to the calls. we finally had dinner at around 8pm it was a busy but very fun day. I'm just really glad that this thanksgiving we were able to spend the holiday with family.

Saving Money

Today i opened a savings account for Aelita. She had almost $40 dollors saved up in her little bank from helping out around the house doing little things like putting her toys away or taking her plate to the kitchen and helping with the laundry anyway that she can.

Laray Caverns

This weekend Aelita and I went Camping with Grandma Cora up at Laray Caverns. She had a lot of fun. She loved going through the caverns and looking at all the rock formations and spending time with her Uncle Eddie. She fell out of the Camper on saterday after banging on the door but she's okay she just scared her self more then anything although she's really lucky that her pride is all that got hurt. Anyway i'll post pix as soon as i get them from my mom.

Halloween Fun

Last night was a fun night. We took Aelita Trick or treating down at Great-Grandpas nieborhood. She got a bunch of candy between last night and the hallowen party at church last saterday. I'll post pictures as soon as i get the camera back from oma Judy. Aelita also got to meet some of her cousins for the first time last night when we went to great-grandpas house after trick or treating.

First Dental Visit

Today Ali had her first dental visit for her front teeth that she hit on the headboard of my bed. She really wouldn't let them even look in her mouth, but when they finally got to look the doctor said that she should be fine it was just a cut above her teeth and it may or may not affect her adult teeth. She apparently hasn't learned to calm down any though she's still active and jumping around on everything. I just hope that she doesn't hit her mouth on anything else anytime soon.

Poor Ali

Today was not a good day for my little princess at all. While i was at work and she was at the baby sitters she pulled something on top of her and scratched her face right under her eye, hopefully it won't leave a scare. Then when i was trying to get her ready for bed she decided to play around on mommys bed and busted her tooth on the headboard. Tomorrow i have to call and make her an emergancy appointment to make sure her front tooth is okay. I feel bad for her my poor baby has a busted mouth and a cut under her eye. At least she hasn't done anything so bad that it needed stitches.

National Aquarium

Aelita Michelle

This is Ali right after she got off her bike. She makes some of the funniest faces at times. She loves being out side and it's still warm out here so she still gets to go out and play with the dog and ride her trike as long as she lets us put her helmet on.

National Aquarium

Yesterday we took Ali to the National Aquarium in Baltimore. She had so much fun looking at all the fish,sharks, stingrays, dophins, and all the other animals that were there. Mommy got really tired and worn out but Aelita really enjoyed herself. I'll post Pictures Later when we have more time.

My Big Girl

Aelita is getting so big way too fast. She loves to help with the laundry and will even put her dirty clothes in her hamper by herself. She'll also put her shoes under her bed now. She loves going to story time and music makers and playing with all the other kids. I hope she's as nice to the baby as she is to the other kids in her storytime and the babies at church.

Mommy's little Princess

Aelita is starting to calm down a little bit at least at church on sundays, until she sees another little kid that she wants to go play with. Today at general conference she was all over the place but mainly because she got bored after the first talk. I just hope she calms down more when the new baby comes.

New Baby

How do you tell a 16 month old that she's going to have a little brother or sister? Its kinda hard to tell Aelita that she's going to be a big sister. She's starting to get really clingy lately and gets jealous anytime i even hold another baby.

Temper Tantrums

Aelita has been having such a temper lately. She constintly want's to be held all day and I just can't do it anymore. She's getting to heavy for me to hold especially when she still throws her tantrums while i'm holding her. I just wish she could understand why i can't hold her so much anymore.

My Poor Girl

Aelita is so accident prone lately, just this week she has busted her mouth twice hitting the table and fireplace trying to get to a toy. she's slammed her fingers in the dryer and kitchen drawers and cabinets and she hit her head playing at the park going under one of the little bridges. I feel so sorry for her getting hurt all the time but she really doesn't listen when you tell her not to do something.

Shopping with Ali

Shopping with Aelita is quite a fun task. Lately she's decided that it's okay to open and eat whatever it is that we're buying. Today she ate 1/4 a container of Mushrooms. I'm thinking i'm going to need to go grocery shopping with out her from now on or put her and the food in two different carts.

Mommy's little helper

Aelita is becoming quite the little helper around the house lately. We've actually got her doing little chores around the house like making her bed, picking up her toys and dirty clothes and putting them were they go and picking up her trash. Every time she helps mommy do those things she gets a sticker and at the end of the week she gets a dollar. Sometimes she'll even try to help put clothes in the washer and dryer. She's growing up so fast it is nice to have help picking up her dirty laundry and toys though.

Terrible twos

Aelita has hit the terrible twos already. She's constintly trowing temper tantrums everytime i tell her no or she doesn't get what she wants. She really likes to be outside however it's getting to cold for us to take her out as often as we used to. She's still going to story time and is actually starting to sit still long enough for them to read the story and sing the songs. She really loves going. This friday she starts music makers which is a little kids group that a bunch of people from church started. She's such a busy girl, but she loves being with all the other kids.

Baby Contest

Tonight was the calvert county fair baby contest. Aelita was the first one to go on the stage and looked really cute. There were 4 other babies in her age group ranging from 15-18 months old. Aelita won 2nd place and got a ribbon and $4.00. It was a lot of fun and she was full of energy like always.

15 month check-up

Yesterday was Aelita's 15 month Check-up she's now down to 20lbs from the 23 that she was when we moved out here because of her not eating. The doctor said to just give her milk and anything that she will eat other than the junk food that she seems to find a way to get a hold of. Other than losing weight and not eating the doctor said that she's looking good.

Not Eating

Aelita hasn't really been eating anything lately the only thing i can really get her to eat is cheese, crackers and McDonald's chicken nuggets and french fries. Tomorrow she has her 15 month check up so maybe I'll talk to her doctor and see what we need to do to get her to start eating again.

Teething

I can't wait until Ali is done teething. It seems like every other week or so she's running a fever and fussy. She's had a fever all weekend that is finally gone. Hopefully her bottom molar comes in the rest of the way. I just hope that she doesn't get anymore fevers anytime soon.

My Little Princess

Aelita is Getting so big way too fast. I remember when i could just hold her all day, and now all she wants to do is run around and get into everything. She loves her dora backpack and goes every where with it. She also likes to play with my old typewritter. Next wednesday she has her 15 month check-up and shots.

Doctor's Appt

Today we took Ali to the doctors to find out what the rash was that was all over her and why she wasn't eating. It turns out that the rash was caused by a virus and was also affecting her appetite. She is starting to eat more again so hopefully she gets over this virus soon.

Mommy's girl

Aelita is such a mommas girl right now. She still has a rash around her pull-up waist band and now she's got some little bumps on her arms and legs. She has a doctors appointment tomorrow after her circle time at the library so hopefully they know what's going on with her. Today was also her Wic Appt. They weighed her and she is now 22lbs and 30 inches tall. Today we also had to break out her winter jackets, we're still not used to the 60degree weather quite yet but it's only going to get colder so we'll deal with it.

Ali

Aelita has been acting pretty wierd lately. she really didnt' eat dinner tonight at all but she's been really thirsty. She has a rash right where the waist band of her pull-ups are too. Tomorrow i'm going to call the doctor and see if i can schedule an appointment for her to see what's going on. I hoping its just the change in the tempature out here and nothing too serious.

Aelita's new Friend

Aelita has a new friend named Matthew. They played all day today during church and she actually shared her cheerios with him. He shared his fruit snacks with her too. They are so cute together. They're only about 2 weeks apart in age and are about the same size. It's just fun to watch them chase each other around everywhere they go.

Bed time

Bed time lately has become such a fight with Aelita. Lately she's been screaming for 1/2 hour before she finally goes to sleep. At around 3am she'll wake back up and climb into bed with mommy, luckily she falls right back to sleep even though she ends up laying sideways and making no room for mommy until i get up and move her back into her bed. I can't wait until we move into our own house so i can but her back into her own room and she can have a playroom.

Climbing

Aelita now knows how to climb up the stairs. This morning i went to check on her after her nap to see if she was still sleeping and she had some how pushed open the bedroom door and climbed up to the top of the stairs and was sitting there when i opened the door to come down. Needless to say we now have the baby gate at the bottom of the stairs at all times. On the 27th of this month Aelita will be in the baby contest at the county fair. I just need to figure out what she's going to wear that night.

Busy day

Today was such a busy day. We went to the social services office to get on food stamps to help out with food for Ali, the wic office, and the health department to get me a copy of my birth certificate. Aelita spent the day with grandma and had a lot of fun until the turned on the ambulance sirens which scared her according to my mom anyway. Aelita really loves spending time with Grandma and grandma loves being able to see her whenever she wants now. Tomorrow i have to go to the unemployment office and apply for unemployment. Aelita is also enrolled at the local library's storytime which starts tomorrow as well so tomorrow is going to be as hectic as today was hopefully we can take care of everything that i need to take care of so that i can start looking for a job so i can stop depending on everyone else to take care of Aelita and so i can get a place of my own.

Cranky Girl

Aelita was so cranky today..like every other sunday. Her nap times are usally at 10am and 2pm and of course church falls right on both nap times. This afternoon she was really cranky and clingy when i put her down to play after church she threw a temper tantrum and bust her lip on the computer table. I really need to find a way to get her to sleep during church but i don't know if that will happen.

Potty Training

We've started trying to potty train Ali again since we've moved out here to maryland it was going well for the first couple of days and now she just waits until we put her pull-up back on then she goes.I'm also trying to get her off the night time bottle but it isn't going all that well either but it will happen sooner or later. anyway here's a pic of ali on her new potty and playing with the puppy

Back In Maryland

Aelita and i are finally back in maryland. I feels so good to be back with family and friends. Aelita is adjusting really well to being moved across te country and is being really spoiled by all her grandparents out here. I really miss being in the airforce and working in the dental clinic at nellis but i'll get over it eventually.

My big Girl

Aelita is definitely not a baby anymore. She's such a big girl now. She's walking everywhere we just have to keep her away from the stairs outside of out hotel room. She tries to read her books all by herself and will sometime attempt to put on her shoes. As The time comes closer and closer to mommy getting out of the military we find that we're getting alot more stessed about alot of things. Especially since mommy and daddy are divorcing as well. Aelita is handling things pretty well she's just being her normal hyperactive self. we have to make sure she's not watching when we open the refridgarator or else she sneeks in and won't leave it with out taking something out of it.

Getting ready to move yet again

My Little one isn't going to know what to think. This will be the 5th time she's moved since she's been born. hopefully she won't remember any of this when she gets older. Aelita and i are preparing to move back to maryland with grandma judy until i get a job and find a place of our own. I can't wait to get back out there with my family and friends so that everyone can see the baby finally

My little Princess

Tomorrow is my little princess's 1st birthday. I can't believe that she's already a year old. This saterday we're having her party at Chuck E. Cheeses. We're going to have a Dora the Explorer Birthday cake and she's going to have some friends come to.

We moved again

We've moved once again, this time though we moved back in with Dominic in the hotel. Aelita is doing okay She doesn't really remember her daddy to much right now but hopefully now that she's with him all day she come around. She's in a big girl car seat now and loves it. she loves being able to look around and see everything.

Aelita Michelle

Aelita is feeling much better now. She's finally back to her normal hyperactive self again. She's back to eating every five minutes or so. I'm just glad that she's feeling better. I can't belive that she's already almost a year old she's getting so big she's beautiful. She loves being with mommy and trying to do whatever mommy does. She also likes to spend time with the Hernandez family. She's also Starting to want to copy everthing that we do which is always fun. We've recently started putting her on the potty so that she gets used to it and maybe we'll get her potty trained before she's 2 we've also cut down her bottle intake to about 2 a day normaly 1 in the morning and 1 at night just before she goes to bed.

Aelita

Aelita is feeling much better today. her fever finally broke this morning. Yesterday afternoon it was still 102.6 but this morning it went down to 97.8. although she still felt pretty warm when i picked her up. I'm just glad she's starting to feel better.

My sick little princess

Aelita is sick once again. this time though she got hit pretty hard. She has a double ear infection, bronchitis, and pneumonia. She also got her 1st chest x-ray Sunday. They currently have her on augmentin and children's Motrin.

Ali

Aelita is adjusting well to living at the Hernandez's house. She's started not sleeping though the night again but we'll get through it. She is well taking care of by Christy during the day and just adores Chris to pieces. I'm just glad that i get to keep her with me and don't have to send her to california with her father. Aelita is a very happy baby now and doesn't really cry unless i'm leaving for work or she's tired or hungry.

Moving

Aelita and i are getting ready to move in with some friends that i work with. The only stipulation is that Dominic cant' go with us. Which i understand and right now i will do anything to make sure that i can keep Ali with me. I just don't want Either Ali or her father to think that I'm trying to keep them apart. We'll see what happens though. Aelita means the world to me and i will do what ever it takes to make sure that she stays with me and doesn't end up away from me and the people who care about her.

Work

Work is going okay except the times that they find way to make my life a living hell. The first Sargent is always finding something to write me up for now. I think he's just trying to make it so that i can't get an honorable discharge. right now he's accusing us of not paying our rent but whatever. I just can't handle all this stress anymore. It is really starting to take it's toll on me and my family. Monday i have a ct scan to see what's going on with my stomach and if they don't find anything they'll have to do surgery which I'm not looking forward to. Other then that everything is going pretty good.

Aelita Michelle

Aelita is way to smart for her own good. She's figured out how to turn on the xbox 360 using our wireless controlers. She is also starting to use sign language when she' s hungry and wants to eat. We've also started to sit her on her potty chair just to get her used to it and she actually went potty on it. We are currently in the process of planning her first birthday party which will be held at the park here in las vegas. We've decided have a Dora the Explorer Birthday party since out of all the pictures of things we showed her that's the one she kept grapping for. I can't belive that my baby is going to be a year old in just 2 short months.

Aelita

Aelita is getting so big now. She is starting to get brave and tries to walk with out holding on to the furniture but hasn't quite been able to take that first step yet.She's definitly has her mothers appitite and temper and her father's hardheadness which is never a good combination but we deal with it and still love her more then ever.
